Volunteer Wildlife Trackers needed!

Southern Rockies Ecosystem Project has joined the Denver Zoo and Gore Range Natural Science School in the "Citizen Science" wildlife monitoring project on Vail Pass. Year-round, volunteers monitor the movement of wildlife around and across Interstate 70 at key wildlife tracking stations. Data gathered will be used to help assess the future location of a proposed wildlife overpass.

We are looking for dedicated volunteers who can commit to attending a day-long training workshop as well as collect wildlife movement data on an on-going basis.

Interested volunteers are required to attend an entire one-day workshop and must be willing to commit to at least eight to ten hours per month. This workshop includes morning classroom instruction followed by afternoon field training.
